>IVA is more Gnostic than anything, I think the point of the ending were that people were arguing YHVH couldn't be God because it was evil, implying that out there, somewhere, there's a greater, true God.
yeah, lots of jap games are basically gnosticism, but from watching that ending I didn't really feel like it did well. I don't know everything about IV Final, was it confirmed anywhere that YHVH is the actual creator of the entire world? Or that there's some other chief deity behind it all?
As for better gnosticism, I remember liking P5 final boss, its also literally named yaldabaoth, so that helps too. I don't even like P5, just that aspect was pretty solid. Xenogears also did gnosticism perfectly I think. Thanks to not using any actual religions, and at most just naming things after them it could work better. Whereas SMT uses the names and designs explicitly. They're not monsters or whatnot that just happened to share the name YHVH or Shiva or whatnot, they ARE supposed to be them. And that causes unnecessary problems imo.

do better m8. At least use the duck, or yandex.
>I believe 2000 years ago is relatively new when compared to 22000 years ago.
It changes nothing in the discussion, we're still talking about ideas that are thousands of years old, which have been a cultural norm for long enough to see the rise and fall of many empires. Its old, very old. Just because there's something older doesn't change that, and calling it "relatively new" in this context adds nothing.
