Board rules v2.2
In addition to site's global rules, those are the /mg/ board rules:
1. No cuckoldry ("reversed" when female is cheated on is ok) or scat, no exceptions
2. Other fringe content: "hyper-" fetishes, yaoi, futa, gore and such belong on /amg/. Exception from this are situations where source material included by the topic contains those elements. In such cases this content is conditionally allowed, but explicit 18+ images must be spoilered.
3. No off-topic trolling or cancerposting
4. Limit real life politics to minimum. Passing references related to monster girls are okay, political arguments will be cut short without warning.
5. Don't backseat mod. If you don't like something, use the built-in filter function, hide the thread/post or discuss that matter in board meta thread.
6. Every thread should be directly related to monster girls. You are also free to create threads as needed, but please think if a completely new thread for what you want to discuss is necessary and check catalog for existing threads.
7. SFW threads are marked with leading [SFW] tag in their subject and any pornographic images must be spoilered
8. Tripcodes are to be used only for confirming identity when needed. Using tripcodes for general chat to socialize is not allowed.
9. Furry/anthro/kemono girls are not considered monster girls on this board and are only allowed to be posted if they are part of otherwise monster girl focused media. Abusing this exception to troll or arguing that furries are monster girls will get you banned.
10. Comments regarding the moderation and general site/board feedback should be posted in the designated meta thread.
11. AI art outside of AI threads is not forbidden, but please be considerate and refrain from making multi-post AI content dumps outside of the designated threads.

The Most Whacked Tournament Ever: An interactive story
''"Do you think you've got what it takes?
The Ultimate Tournament is entering its OPEN ENROLLMENT SEASON! All contestants are welcome, regardless of age, race, species, disposition, social standing, marital status*, financial condition, tribal allegiances or personal beliefs! Looking for fame and glory? Seeking a bountiful career as a mercenary or a paramilitary agent? Or are you simply looking to impress that guy you like~?
Climb the Tournament Ladder and become the ultimate champion! Smash the competition, rise through the ranks and face the final challenge! Challenge the strongest! Claim the best!"
*Married women are not to participate in matches with any other man than their husband.''
"Hrm." The Tournament, huh? The Ultimate Tournament, or U.T. for short, had become one of the most popular sports in the monster society, if not the most popular. Thousands upon thousands of women each year flock there during the open season, hoping to rise to fame, glory and wealth. Or, at least, to snag a cute boy for themselves. Speaking about the boys, your eyes fall on to the bottom line of the ad billboard, which, unlike the bright-golden text above, is written in crimson red, albeit in smaller font:
"~♥Male participants receive a 1,000 credit advance, and a partner of their choice♥~"
Oh, well. You see, a lot of challenges in the Tournament often include boys, one of the reasons for the immense popularity of the sport. They're almost never fighters or soldiers; their role is, well, how to put it... it can be boiled down to being the "prize" or "treasure" to be seized by the real challengers. With the natural female-to-male ratio being several hundred to one in humans, and several thousand to one in monster populace, there aren't that many men, to begin with; and out of those, not very many are keen on playing the role of monster bait. So the monsters, in their effort, have to resort to all sorts of tricks to lure in men. That, or it's just because the whole franchise is owned by a small group of demons and raccoons, who are well-known for their tendency to pamper and spoil men.
You stop for a while to think about it. You're a big fan of the Tournament, been watching their matches since the age of five and playing all their videogames. Usually, you don't actually see yourself as a player, even as bait, but now you think about it. Why the fuck not? With the non-lethal, monster magic-doped weaponry, a combat contest is not the brutal, painful and messy business it used to be at some point in history. And, you can see that your days of living off unemployment benefits are ending. In fact, you're not gonna be surprised if your very first wife-to-be is already on the hunt, seeking to seize you. Maybe even a group of them. In fact, it might happen as soon as tomorrow, if not today. You don't know of any man that stayed an Incubus Fidelis for more than half a year, and it's been almost a whole month since you have matured.
So why the hell not? You're gonna be losing your virginity any day now. And you aren't sure whether the first one to catch you would be one of the more aggressive monsters, such as an amazon or maybe a hell hound, or it would be one of these sneaky business ladies that can wrap you up through a series of endless, interconnected Terms of Service, Product Usage Policies and EULAs... What have you got to lose, anyway?
Before you knew it, you're heading towards the registration booth of your local U.T. club. The receptionist manticore gave you a look, containing both suspicion and predatory lust; her grin intensified when she heard that you're applying as a competitor.
"My, my~ another tasty morsel throwing himself to the wolves, tigers, and black harpies~~" She pulled out a registration form and push it towards you, while making sure to show off her tail and claws to you as much as possible. The few girls that were inside with you, started eyeing you with great interest; somewhat uncomfortable from all that attention, you start filling your form. The manticore grabs it from you when you're done and starts reading; somewhere mid-way, you can see her eyes widen as she starts drooling right in her chair.
"Grrrrrrrrrrhm~~~" She leans towards you; her face is now only a few inches away from yours, and everything about her screams predatory hunger. You retain your calmness; been living your whole life with monsters, you're pretty used to such outbursts. She looks at you like that for a couple seconds, sniffing you; finally, she starts talking.
"You're really into hardcore, aren't you, little cutie~?" She outright hops across the receptionist desks and leans intimately close to you, squeezing her breasts against your shoulder. "Say, why not just find ourselves a nice place just for the two of us~?"
You politely, but sternly reject the pushy manticore, telling her that you really intend to try yourself out in the tournament. She gives you the most disbelief-laden look she could make. You look back at her. She shook her head, and asks you if you're for real. You tell her that, yes, you are indeed for real. She gives you a long sigh as she starts talking.
"Cutie, do you even know what you're gonna be up against?" Somebody like you is gonna get claimed even before the actual match begins. I reckon you won't even get out of here unclaimed," she purred in your ear, hinting that she might just as well be the reason for that.
Well, she has a point. As a lifelong fan of the Tournament, you definitely know what are you going to be up against. You know every single team that was participating in the earlier matches; you've seen how they fight, their members, you know their rough abilities. And you've enrolled just in time to particpate in the fray - assuming you're going to get past the qualification challenges, of course. Speaking about which, it's nothing easy; you'll have to excel in all three challenges, each divided into three matches, before you can assemble a team and continue on to the tournament itself.
"Hm." You think about it for a minute. Come to think of it, it surely won't be easy for you, to say the least. The Hide & Seek challenge; you and at least one monster are placed on a map, a good distance away from another. The monster's goal is to find you in a given amount of time; if she finds you, she wins (and you, consequently, get raped). Then, the Escape challenge; your goal is to find a way to break out of wherever you are, before you are found by the hunter(s). And, lastly, the Survival challenge; stay unclaimed for a set period of time while being besieged by the monsters.
Obviously, since you're a boy, failure in any of those challenges does not necessarily mean disqualification. That would just mean that your status would change from "challenger" to "trophy"; the main difference is that you won't be able to make a difference in the ongoing match. You would be just sitting wherever you are, waiting for someone to claim you, and hoping it isn't the team that has a single ushi-oni or, may that never happen, a mindflayer. Still, it sounds a lot less awesome and outright more boring than actually being able to participate in the matches.
Heh, whatever. At least it's surely gotta be fun. You tell the manticore that you're ready for whatever this challenge will throw at you, and finish your registration procedure. She sighs, gives you one more curious look, and signs you as a tournament challenger.
"Your first challenge is gonna start in five days," she explained. "If you succeed in all nine - well, mostly a theoretical possibility, since most greenies like you usually tend to get claimed on the very first round - you're going to participate in the Tournament. You can join any team that's willing to accept you; purely theoretically, you can also create a team of your own, but obviously, unless you're exceptionally proficent, there's no way you're going to make it as its captain. Only the one who emerges victorious in the Free-for-All challenge thrice in a row will be accepted as captain. And, uhh, you better watch out for the Paragon teams. Word's out that the Broodhunters are making a comeback..."
...Wait. The Broodhunters? The elite team comprised only of the toughest and most elite monster-girls, undefeated in thirty installations of the Tournament in a row until four years ago, when they yielded to the Static Charge? Well, chances are that you'll never get to meet them, in the first place... that is, until you fail the challenge and become a simple trophy, where you can be claimed by anyone. Oh, shit... you shiver at the mention of those elite. Last you remember, the bulk of their team was made of two hellhounds, a manticore, a lizard girl, an amazonian, oddly also a cheshire cat and, above all, the dragon sisters. The red one, and the black one. Saralynn and Celestia, the two extremely dangerous dragon girls, both said to be completely unbeatable in combat. And they were still single at the point of their defeat. Well, practically everyone you'll meet in the combat is single; and the reason why the extremely strong dragons remained so throughout their career, at least until getting beaten down by the automaton team, is that they found every single man they've encountered beneath their interest. That's a phew for sure; you don't want to think what would it be like, to be captured under their hips.
"Well then, let's pick your partner." The manticore gestures you to follow. Partner?.. Oh, yeah, something mentioned in that promotional, too. You're getting a whopping 1,000 credit advance - an immense amount of money, roughly equivalent to an average middleclassman payout over two years, as well as that 'partner'. Whatever it means. Well, guess you're about to find out.
You follow the manticore into a big room, the "Conference Room," as it says. It's a big lobby where all big meetings, gatherings and events of that sort happen. The manticore instructs you to wait there for a short while; a few minutes after, a huge amount of girls rushes into the room, almost knocking one another off their feet. Sometimes actually knocking one another off their feet. Holy shit. There's a lot of girls. A shitload of freelancers, contestants, and other girls, all of their attention dead-fixed on you... ...well, it's a great time to find out what's going on there.
As the promo said, you, as a man, are entitled to a partner - a woman that would support you throughout the whole thing in a variety of ways. Sometimes she can provide you special assistance during the challenge, such as throw some extra props your way, use magic to help you, or even appear directly on the map... You haven't ever heard of anything like this happening before; however, the rules of tournament have changed recently, and since boys were usually unable to complete even the first round of qualification challenges, the owners of the whole franchise decided to change the rules, to give the boys an actual chance of victory. And, holy shit, there's a LOT of girls. The lobby room is packed, and you aren't even sure if that's all of them...
"Well, technically you are not under any obligation to have any sorts of intimate relationships with your partner. But, you must understand, there is a reason why they all are so eager to help you out~" the manticore explains as everybody finally fit into the room. Oh. So it's a hitching program, sort of. Well... guess you better give those girls a look, then. There are so many of them, but there are already four gals that catch your attention.
A werewolf with dark-grey fur. Moderately toned, and about half-head taller than you, she looks like somebody that can be gentle when you need it, but she's got quite a fierce character. She's fast and nimble, and a good tactician, too; she seems like somebody who's good at physical combat.
A lynx, or a panther, you can't say. A mostly humanoid feline girl, with only inhuman parts being cat ears and a tail; she's very feral, and she looks like somebody like will pounce at your ass whether you want it or not. Despite having some good muscle, she's not a brawler type, instead preferring to rely on stealth and trickery. She's good at silent takedowns, infiltration, and long-range combat, bot not as good in heated and lose-range combat scenarios.
A... vampire? No, wait, she doesn't look as snobby and is much more pleasant to deal with. She's a Dhampir, a vigilante freelancer keeping watch on any cases of mistreatment of men. Also, looking for a good boy to call her husband, and you would fit the role just alright. Apart from decent combat abilities, she also has a good talent in sorcery, although not as good as a proper dark mage or a baphomet.
And, a gremlin. With tits. She's shorter than you, almost a full head short, but her knockers and a big ass make up for the lack of height just fine. Though she technically can fight, her role is mostly centered around tech-based talents. She can assemble turrets, construct and sabotage various drones, cameras and such, help your vehicles and set up mines and traps... although she's just about as playful and tricky, and outside the tournament, she can sometimes set up unexpected surprises for you, as well.
Well... these are your choices. If you decide neither of these look good enough, the room's full of those girls; after hearing about an Incubus Fidelis participating in the tournament, damn near every challenger flocked to get the chance to be your partner. You're pretty sure you can find just about any monster among these girls. After picking whoever that is your choice, you head away to prepare for the upcoming challenge. The matches are picked randomly, even though you can manually pick a course by paying a small sum of credits; well, it's not really "small" since you'll have to pay thirty-five credits to change a map, but with the generous allowance you've got, you could probably afford yourself to do that. Still, it's more than you've had before entering the tournament.
CHOICES
First, choose the girl that's going to be your partner. If it isn't the one described above, her characteristics will be arbitrarily made up to roughly match the author's vision of what kind of a girl she should be.
Then, choose how you're going to spend the remaining five days. Your options are: Prepare for the contest, use the five days you've got to prepare yourself, gauge your abilities in the practice room, and run a couple test matches with the other participants. Get to kow the other contestants better, basically, study as much about your potential allies/opponents, as well as the environment around there, as it is possible. And, throw a party since you're stinkin' rich now. (Requires additional 25 creds to be spent)
Then, either roll six numbers between, or pay the 35 credits fee and choose the map and the opponent manually and roll only four numbers. The last four numbers will be used to determine some of the random events of the match. The first two numbers vary between 1 and 9; the rest, between 1 and 10.
The available matches and opponents are as following:
<b>Matches:</b>
1. (Escape) Balrog's Caves - An infernal-themed setting on the planet Raubigz II. The smell of sulphur and ash persists in the air; formerly, it was a penal colony where criminals worked the Crenettium mines, mining the hard crystal which only forms on planets with inhospitable conditions. It's pretty hot and uncomfortable there, and the planet is covered in lava rivers, basalt, and ash. 25 points to win.
2. (Escape) Cold Reception - The Dalfluffs' mega-compound is the only construction on the cold, barely-habitable hellhole planet of Szynam V. The place is under lockdown; you have been purpotedly kidnapped by the owner of the facility in the off-working hours. 30 points to win.
3. (Escape) Lush - The name says it. Somewhere, on the mostly-untouched tropical planet orbiting a comfy yellow sun that's fairly close to Sol, there are hunting grounds maintained by the local tribals. This place is currently being used as a setting for another kind of hunt, though. Your goal is to escape before the monsters find you and get you. 22 points to win; the last two generated numbers must be at least 5.
4. (Hide'n'Seek) The Infinity Labyrinth - A mysterious construct that is, in fact, a space-time contraption an endlessly-generating labyrinth. While it might sound easy for you, remember that, by some magic, the monster(s) looking for you are always gonna be somewhere not too far from you. You can't just keep moving in an arbitrary direction. You can't sit out an hide for too long. And you can't memorize the map, because the place constantly changes in real time. 30 points to win. The last generated number must be at or above 6.
5. (Hide'n'Seek) Bad Luck - Well, who could've thought that you would have to stay until midnight dealing with the fucking paperwork. And who would've known this would be exactly the day when some of the hungrier monsters would decide to prowl the streets, in search of prey. Soon as you've left the office building, all the doors auto-locked out, leaving you alone on the streets, unable to enter almost any house for an hour, and hunted by several hungry monster-girls. 25 pts. to win.
6. (Hide'n'Seek) Crazy Train - Barely escaping some crazy yandere bitch, that kidnapped you and brought you over to a different town, you've boarded the late-night train and are on your way back to your home. Well, she isn't called a yandere for no reason; soon as the train departed, you sensed an awfully familiar magical energy. She's somewhere nearby. And she's looking for you. 25 pts. to win. Need the first two random numbers, that aren't deciding the match and the opponent, to be at least 4.
7. (Survival) Serenity - You're in a small tourist town in the mountains. All the amenities you need are there; and the knowledge of a sole guy in the whole town has already spread to all the other tourists. Who are all women. All unmarried. And all horny as all fuck. Your goal, is to last at least an hour until help arrives. 20 points to win.
8. (Survival) Red Giant Station - You're on a lonesome mining station around a gas giant. Located a fair distance away from its dim, red star, the planet is basked in a faint, sickly red light; the gloomy setting is of the least concern for you now, as all the other inhabitants of the station are more than just feeling down from the gloomy environment. For some reason, the escape shuttle will not be available to you until an hour later; you'll have to make the best out of your situation to last against the hungry monster-girls. 25 points to win.
9. (Survival) Entombed - You have been investigating an ancient pyramid built by an extinct ancient civilization on a desert planet of Rimma VI. When you've finally opened the casket supposedly containing a mummified alien ruler from the ages past, a curse spread out on your companions; within seconds, they've become feral and lustful. To make matters worse, all exits from the tomb have sealed. Help is on the way, but it will take them around 35 minutes to arrive; during which, you'll have to fight offthe constantly-resuscitating feral companions. The four numbers must be at least: 4, 5, 3, 4.
Your possible opponents are: Manticore + two werewolves; four amazons; a kunoichi that's extremely fast and nimble; a hellhound; a wight + 3 zombies; a couple of panther girls; a swarm of rat girls; two lizard girls that are extremely proficent in combat; and a harpy flock led by a black harpy. Unlike with the matches, the exact numbers to which the opponents are assigned are only known to the author (and the tournament operators ;) so, until you explicitly choose the opponents, you don't know who wil

Monstergirl Mythology/Origins Thread
Have you ever asked yourself: Where did the name 'manticore' come from? What does 'cheshire' mean? How do I play Uno on my Xbox? Now you can ask other anons or just talk about your waifu('s origins)!
No surprise that most MGE monsters are derivative of other works. That said, the sources can vary greatly from mythology to classic literature to even contemporary fantasy/science fiction. MGE takes a rather narrow lens to monsters with sometimes interesting or complicated origins, which are then filtered through Japanese pop culture (ex. dog kobolds). For anons who want to learn a little more about where (or when) their waifus come from, I made this thread.
Any anon can add to this thread with info, book/media recommendations, or requests about a specific monster.
>Doesn't everybody already know this stuff?
Maybe. But probably not. Besides, it's an excuse to nerd out.
I'll start by noting some general trends on sources:
>D&D monsters
Monsters inspired by oldschool Dungeons and Dragons, or Japanese things that "borrowed" from it like Dragon Quest and Record of Lodoss War. Some of these have clear European/African/Asian mythological origin but a surprising number of them are made up. Lich, mind flayer, gazer, and kobold are all examples.
>Mythology monsters (foreign)
Mythology monsters, gods, or spirits from around the world, often a pop culture version of them. This is by far the biggest group but also very chaotic as it contains gods and house spirits side-by-side. Anubis, Khepri and Apophis (Egypt); Bunyip (Australia); Wendigo (North America) are examples.
>Mythology monsters (Japanese)
I separate these because there are a lot more of them and they're also a lot more faithful to the myths. They have home-field advantage. KC writes their names in katakana instead of proper kanji (ushi oni is ウシオニ not 牛鬼). This group includes yuki-onna, kitsune, tengu, and oni.
>Literature monsters
Creatures more-or-less entirely made up in famous works of literature. Lewis Carroll, H.P. Lovecraft, J.R.R. Tolkein. You've probably heard these names. There's definitely some overlap with the above categories but because they have their own names/symbolism they're easy to identify. Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, Dormouse, and Jabberwock (Alice in Wonderland), Shoggoth (At the Mountains of Madness), Balrog (Lord of the Rings) are examples.
>Anthropomorphisms
Human-shaped animals/plants! Often moe, some include KC's earliest designs. I don't know who first had the idea of "I'll draw a half-sexy lady, half-bee" but they're a pretty distinct group because they're not any of the above. Includes jinko, giant ant, flow kelp, and mershark.
>Undeterminable origin
This isn't really a group but I put this here because some designs are so widespread it's hard to say where exactly it comes from. Others seem to be KC's original designs. Some of them may just be a very specific enemy from a JRPG. Who made the first big green ogre? Which one did KC see when he made the profile? Does it even matter? I'd put hellhound, angel, witch, and bicorn here.

"Big Sister" edition
Are you a good boy that prays to Inari daily? Remember to leave a helping of fried tofu at the local shrine regularly.
How many times to do you bed your government-assigned fox wife every day? Less than a total of 3 hours spent breeding (outside mating season) can be a sign of disloyal thoughts.
Do you suspect any friends or family of hiding Danuki in their basement? Make sure to report them to your local police fox immediately.
No your neighbour did not "disappear" after insulting foxes online, he was just turned into a shota and is trapped between his new wife's tails for re-education purposes. (And that's a good thing)

Lunapalooza - A Music Festival CYOA
Summer of 202X. It’s been one year and three months since The Portals opened. To the west of the Roswell Portal Crossing is the first Royal Oasis of Earth, the home of The Pharaoh Najia. She, in conjunction with the Apache residents at the Mescalero Reservation (where part of her Oasis resides), has sent an open invitation to the bards and musicians of Earth and beyond The Portals for the first Grand Tribal Jubilee, a time honored monster tradition, in the new world. For more word of mouth and positive buzz, Najia takes her husband’s advice and expands the Jubilee into a larger festival, now called Lunapalooza. Multiple acts sign on, and the size of the event grows into a seven day extravaganza. Tickets sell like wildfire, and the last few available sets become scarce. Through a stroke of luck, Anon’s friend Ben wins a pair through the Kold Calls Radio Show, and the two begin the long trek to this life changing event…
Welcome to Lunapalooza
This will be my first CYOA that I've done in a long time, so bear with me as a I shake off the rust. As mentioned in the writing thread, the goal of this CYOA is simple, make it to the end of the festival, and hopefully find a wife by the end of it. Updates might be somewhat infrequent, but as I get back into my groove (and life doesn't decide to fuck me over), I should be able to post more regularly.
Player interaction will be relatively simple, there will mostly be multiple choice options, depending on the scenario, stats and/or roll checks will be enabled. If consensus on a choice isn't reached, we will roll for a tie breaker. It's greatly encouraged to also pitch forward ideas and alternative options as well. Now, with all that settled, let's get into our Prologue.

AI Monster Girls Thread
I've been taking a look at AI again recently and the technology is very impressive.
Seems most decent images these days come from an SDXL model called Pony Diffusion.
https://civitai.com/models/257749/pony-diffusion-v6-xl
Yes, it has furry shit but you can turn it all off since it comes with built in negative prompts for entire parts of the dataset.
Despite being named after ponies 50% of the dataset was anime, and it's apparently the best or one of the best local models for generating it right now.
It intuitively knows how to do sex, blowjobs, footjobs, etc without any loras.
>What is a lora?
Just think of it as an addon that adds additional features to a model it is trained for. (You can't use loras that aren't compatible with your model).
I use Automatic1111 which is buggy as shit but has a lot of good extensions and I've put far too much time into it.

Honestly, there are a few extensions that basically force me to stay now, and let me tell you about them:
https://github.com/zixaphir/Stable-Diffusion-Webui-Civitai-Helper
This labels everything you download from CivitAI and allows you to load in the "best prompt" provided with the lora, along with inserting all the model's trigger words and giving display images to each of your loras.
https://github.com/Mikubill/sd-webui-controlnet
Lets you use an image as direct reference for generating, so you could maybe even get tricky stuff like tail pussys or slime girls to work if you do it right.
I'm not quite familiar with it yet but it's already performed really well. I had the best experience with anime canny and lineart models. You need to download separate models for it and put them in your a1111 folder's models/ControlNet folder.
For SDXL, you can find those
Here:
https://civitai.com/models/136070?modelVersionId=267516
And here:
https://huggingface.co/kohya-ss/controlnet-lllite/tree/main
Finally, by far the most important one, ADetailer.
https://github.com/Bing-su/adetailer
It automatically detects faces in your picture and inpaints them to keep them from looking terrible. You can provide custom prompts for finetuning.
Things to note: I recommend at least having a minimum of 6GB vram and an RTX 20 series or greater gpu.
If you have below 9GB of vram, you should probably use xformers. Look at the automatic1111 wiki for how to do that.
You should also check out
https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui/wiki/Optimizations if it runs too slowly.

its time to talk about what school is going to look like for your foxlet.
do you try and enroll your kit in a human school? or do you send her to a fox only school, where she will be taught the vixen arts?
will she be a perfect and studious little fox? or will she be a rebel, struggling at every turn to avoid the monotony of education?
how is her love life gonna evolve in school? will she drag some poor clueless classmate
or teacher home?
or is she perhaps a daddy's girl?

Monster girl story thread - highly lewd bookposting
Hey all. Writefag here again.
I've written stories lately in a couple of threads (Mistflower in the doujin thread and Kingslayer in the fox thread), but this is by far my most expansive effort as yet. I'm designing and writing my own entire monster girl themed world, slice of life piece by lewd piece by lore piece. I want to mix the 80's high fantasy adventure, romance, powerful and lewd mostly-human monster women, and just a smidge of comedy together. All of the stories i'm writing will fit together and build up the same universe, the name of which i haven't yet decided on. This one includes a whole slew of different girls, so i didn't know where to put it. It's also a fair bit longer than the other ones.
We not storypostin' boys, tonight we bookpostin'.
This particular story gets to the lewd in chapter three, but the payoff of the lewd is vastly better in my opinion if you read the entire thing. At the time of posting, i plan two additional chapters to finish out this particular segment.
Feel free to drop suggestions, ideas, or to make requests if you want to. I might still drop a small-sized bit in other threads on occasion as it feels appropriate to do so.
If you want to write your own stuff, feel free.
To prevent confused navigation, link to your last storypost and follow the format of:
Image
Current Story: X
Chapter 1: Y (if you have chapters)
Buckle up and remember: Losing is fun.

fox faith edition
foxes are often depicted as shrine maiden, priests, and are at times even an object of worship in of themselves. these depiction can be rather shallow however, leaving us to fill in the gaps and make sense of the kitsune's way of life and worship.
how do foxes see themselves in a spiritual sense? are they blessed messengers of the divine? or are they simply another mundane species seeking to commune with a higher power?
what are their tenets? simply copy pasted shinto moral teachings? what superstitions do they believe in? and how strictly do they enforce such rules?
how do they go about proselytizing? do they go up to clueless men and start reciting their sacred texts?
or is having 18 children with him and raising them to be proper godfearing kits good enough?

Rethinking taxonomy from MGE
Ages ago I wrote down all the classification in MGE and came to the conclusion that the whole system is… putting it lightly: shit. Back then I thought a little how to fix it but didn't came up with any decent system. Now I think I have a better shot. Since I'm kinda like the scientists before Darwin, I can only classify monsters based on gut feeling and physical similarities, because a detailed history of all monsters isn't described anywhere. Though KC probably thought about the "science" even less than I did. Regardless, here's what I came up with
First category:
Heavenly
Earthly
Within Heavenly there's:
Holy (all the good angels and alike) and
Fallen (all demon, imps, etc).
I'm going with "all demons are just fallen angels" approach. Though you can also interpret it as demons being just creatures on the same level as angels.
Within Earthly there's
>Magical
-Elemental (Gnome, Undine, etc)
-Enchanted/cursed (Cursed Sword, Doll)
–Undead
>Non-magical
-pure
–land creatures
–sea creatures
–air creatures
-hybrids (Manticore, Griffon)
–land creatures
–sea creatures
–air creatures
So for example Zombie would be
Earthly
-Magical
–Cursed
—Undead
Harpy would be
Earthly
-Non-magical
–Pure
—Air creature
Demon would be
Heavenly
-Fallen
I'm planning to add more detailed categories later (like limb count, whether they have fur, feathers or bare skin, etc), but first I want some feedback on those most fundamental categories. Is there any monster that clearly doesn't fit anywhere and breaks the system? Are there ambiguous monsters? Do you have better ideas for categories?

/mg/ Island: Game Thread #1
Ahoy mateys! We've just heard word that a castaway reeled into port found the fabled Ilse of the Goddess! Filled with monstergirls and riches, it's a paradise for any man savvy enough to survive its dangers. Better still, the vixen goddess herself is there, trapped but offering her gifts to all who brave the Isle's perils and the ultimate reward to the one who frees her! So raise the sails ya scallywags, we're off in search of booty!
So after complaints about slow threads and the combined general I decided to liven things up with a little game here, a mix of Island Survival CYOA, Battle Royale, and Waifu Simulator.
The Rules
To play, pick a landing spot, one of Alpha (NW at D7), Beta (NE at V6), Gamma (SW at H16), or Delta (SE at S22) location and a cardinal direction for your move. You can move 2 if the first space is plains, ex. >Alpha, E,E to F7< is a valid move. All anons with the same landing spot are a team, though as pirates that loyalty oft runs thin. It still may be worth it since some treasures give a bonus to your entire team, though for balance smaller teams will also get a better individual bonus.
You can also pick your two starting perks. BY DEFAULT YOU GET [ISEKAIGUY] and [HAREM MASTER] IF IT'S NOT IN YOUR POST. If you pick others, consider a tripcode so no can snipe your turn or your waifu.
Once play starts, I'll reply to a move with what you find, which could be a monstergirl, a challenge, or nothing. You can respond however you like, but the big three are talking, fighting, and fucking. If another anon is in the same space you can fight each other or team up, but do remember that the Island Goddess frowns upon team killers!
That resolved, reply with another move. From our example above, you could pick >E to G7<, delving further into the desert. The process repeats until you die or someone succeeds in freeing the Goddess. Turns will mostly run with a 1 real day = 1 game day turn sequence, though I'll do more early on so people can find their first monstergirls. If you don't reply before the next turn no worries, I'll assume you're living off the land in the space you last moved to. The alternative is that if you team up with another anon, you can nominate one as a party leader and tag along with their moves until you specify otherwise.
If you die you can just start again, and the default perks make that painless with no info to track, but IF YOU TOOK [FIRST SOULMATE] QUOTE YOUR DEATH POST WHEN YOU RESPAWN (so I can track things).
Speaking of Monstergirls
We're both here for this, so monstergirls deserve special mention. First, not all girls will jump your bones the minute you encounter them, and if they're friendly you can pull them into any challenges. Just hope you don't end up in a position where they can't take advantage of your weakness!
On the other hand if you like it, put a ring on it! You're the captain of your life here, and [FIRST SOULMATE] will lock in a girl as your waifu to the point that even if you die and respawn she'll come find you. Other monstergirls will sense this, so if you're sick of bad ends go for the good end here.
But you might want to wait, because each monstergirl is more than her species. Just like you get two perks, every girl is generated with a few perks and traits, and you have a chance to learn these each turn you travel with her. Odds are higher if you face challenges together or have a social skills perk.
Once a monstergirl is your waifu, by [FIRST SOULMATE] or just by romancing her, your bond will make you both stronger the more you experience together, unlocking extra perks without the need to use items.
You Said There Were Perks
I did, didn't I? Pick two of the eight, but remember that with great trips come great responsibly!
Isekaiguy - For real men seeking glorious death by snu-snu! The Island Goddess has marked your soul so that death is a mere inconvenience, causing you to respawn at a starting location of your choice the turn after you die. But if all here have heard the call of the Goddess, why does this cost a perk? Because unlike others, if you quote your death post it will let you keep any progress towards freeing the Goddess and 'winning'! That and because you're probably like most other isekaiguys, a NEET who rushed into things without reading any of this.
First Soulmate - You're the man of monstergirl dreams, and with the Goddess's blessing you're guaranteed a romance for the ages. You can pick any semi-friendly monstergirls as soulmate, winning her favor and unshakeable loyalty. Fate will conspire to get you back together if you're separated, and to bring her around to your less vanilla fetishes, even including polyamory if you're also a [HAREM MASTER]. On the other hand even the thought of betraying her will feel like psychic torture, but you're a better man than that, aren't you?
Harem Master - Or maybe one girl isn't enough to satisfy you? This combination of the Goddess's blessing and actual social skills makes monstergirls much more likely to agree to a harem arrangement, and for them to get along better if they do. This isn't perfect, with both prideful girls like our favorite grape snake and yandere ones like, well, certain other snakes refusing at first despite this perk. If you make her [FIRST SOULMATE] she's much more likely to relent, but will also insist on being head of the harem. Watch out, you may be more like the centerpiece of HER harem!
Silver Tongue - A cunning linguist, you pride yourself on resolving disputes without a fight, and this aura extends to girls you recruit so they too can lick any problem! Besides a natural knack for innuendo, this gives you the emotional intelligence to see social opportunities where others don't and get a faster read on a monstergirl's true traits and intentions. Also makes you more attractive to snake and frog girls for reasons I hope are obvious.
Handyana Jones - Not pirate, TREASURE HUNTER! And you have the real skills to back up that claim, knowing your way around ancient ruins and lost languages like a pro. This will help with many challenges, and you'll find more clues as to how to free the Goddess. And yes, when it comes to THAT, your hands are magic, and if you get a waifu hers will be too.
Always Ready - They used to call you Sir Fucksalot, but this goes far beyond the bedroom. Like Batman, you always seem to have just the item for your current predicament (more like preDICKament amirite?). Encounters with treasure items are much more likely, and if you're in a party with other anons they'll yield an extra treasure just for you so even the most piratical group won't screw you out of the loot.
Struggle Snuggler - With some monstergirls having a very liberal definition of consent, your typical isekaiguy is as likely to become a victim as a victor. Not so with you! Your combination of physical prowess, sexpertise, and /k/ skills lets you come out on top in most cases. Even better, this applies to fending off the non-girl monsters that roam the island. On the other hand watch out for Salamanders, this shit drives them fucking WILD.
Nice Boat - Who do you think guided the away party from ship to shore? YOU, that's who! And you've got the dinghy to prove it. This is last because you get no special powers from this, just a boat. But that's still the only way to traverse ocean squares or go across rivers without finding a ford or bridge. Also the best way to attract a watery waifu if that's your thing. If you pick one of those girls you'll find your swimming boosted more than other anons.

Ideas for MGE card game?
I wanna play with my waifus and figured some sort of card game would be cool. The pics I have from some MGE torrent are already almost perfect. I sorted them a little into colours. My idea is that the game would be about collecting monsters of a specific colour, first to gather smth like 5 or 6 monsters of the same colour wins. I want the game to be fairly simple, but also have some strategy with 2 players (or more).
Another thing I want, is to use just those unedited pics. Sure, I could just make them into standard card deck, but that'd be kind of lame. Especially considering how many good monsters there are, and limiting it to only 52 would be a shame.
On the other hand a 200 card deck would be a bit much.
I looked up simple card games and games like go fish, snap, happy families or my ship sails look like they could be modified into something that'd fit.
If you have any ideas please share. Once I have some good enough idea(s) I'll print a deck and post it.

Digimon thread
Man, this franchise's designs are so good, and the card game is fire too (with such great art).
Not sure about vidya, but I heard the old anime is pretty good too.
Regardless of all that, lets post some designs and discuss them.
I really like the art card from the classic collection, so I'll post those
https://world.digimoncard.com/cardlist/?search=true&category=522019
you can browse all the card art, from all the expansions and all starter decks on the official site, AND search for specific cards too. Man, that's neat, all card companies should do it.
(downloading the images can be annoying, so just save the whole page and in the files you'll have all the images(or you can just screencap specific cards))
