fox faith edition foxes are often depicted as shrine maiden, priests, and are at times even an object of worship in of themselves. these depiction can be rather shallow however, leaving us to fill in the gaps and make sense of the kitsune's way of life and worship. how do foxes see themselves in a spiritual sense? are they blessed messengers of the divine? or are they simply another mundane species seeking to commune with a higher power? what are their tenets? simply copy pasted shinto moral teachings? what superstitions do they believe in? and how strictly do they enforce such rules? how do they go about proselytizing? do they go up to clueless men and start reciting their sacred texts? or is having 18 children with him and raising them to be proper godfearing kits good enough?
