>the obvious downsides to such a scenario so yandere has its place until they start offing cashiers for looking at you
I think assuming that about yanderes is ridiculously dumb. I hate how common that is, too, people nowadays just think that yandere means murderer.
It's like thinking tsunderes are the ones that will truly HATE you and will ALWAYS beat you savagely for looking at them, to the point of bleeding or broken bones and NEVER even tolerate you being in the same room as her. Or thinking kuuderes are literally unable to react to anything in their lives and will not care even if they get hurt, or hating derederes because they're too sweet, their diet consists solely of baked sweets that they WILL hand feed you, and they beg to cuddle all the goddamn time, including when you're on the toilet or trying to paint your walls.
Think about it for just one minute. Even that bland scenario makes absolutely zero sense because it means the yandere risks jail time (or worse, death) over killing someone who isn't even interested. Leaving the man alone and unprotected. Wouldn't it make more sense to have a discussion or good old fashioned rape to soothe her aching heart? Hell, RAPE itself is basically a yandere only domain. No other -dere type is widely known for raping or trying to rape their love interest. Almost all monstergirls are a little bit yandere because of that.
Not to mention, a monstergirl that just randomly kills innocent people(even if they are human women, yes) isn't something that really fits into MGE anyway.
It's true, "extreme" kinda goes well with "yandere", but it's not a strict definition of the type. Yandere just means (mentally) sick love. It's a very broad definition. So much that it's one of the only -dere types that can be mixed with almost any other type and really make sense. It's obsession, and to a variable extend. Maybe she's bipolar, acting sweet towards you and ultra cuntish to anyone else. Maybe she just gets jealous easily and you have to reaffirm your love often. Maybe she collects your hair or nail clippings. Maybe she worships you as a god. Maybe she has delusions. Maybe she cries over dumb things like you interacting with a female cashier or your mom. Maybe she's just a little creepy and/or weird in general. Or she secretly stalks you. Or she uses threats. Self-harm, even.
Not that she is guaranteed to do any of that, or kill others, or you, or herself, or that she must play with blood, or that she stabs you during sex, or that she wants to wear your skin or wants you to wear hers.
Stop this yandere slander. Not all mental sicknesses are equal, you should know that by now.
What you're actually thinking about is a mix of a yandere and a yangire, heavily leaning towards the latter.
