Finished the Three Charms collab, and honestly I'm kind of disappointed for a variety of reasons. It's way too short, only took me two sittings to finish it. It's not the first time the series repurposes the same CGs for different scenes, but reusing even the ones from MGQ felt lazy as hell, with the art style clash being particularly jarring. Hell, that one promo art being the only time Minwa drew the collab characters feels like a huge wasted potential. Besides like one fight, none of the battles had something we haven't seen before, the puzzles were repetitive and there were too many big areas with nothing going for them besides some NPCs you could talk to. Story also fell flat in my opinion, the gauntlet didn't end up feeling that important, Promestein could have been more involved in the story and to top it all off, the translation also wasn't exactly the greatest.
On the other hand, I'd be lying if meeting the cast again didn't put a smile in my face, and that main menu theme was like relapsing on crack, it made me want to go through R and Lonesome Spirit all over again. I still really like the comfy setting and the scene writing remains one of my favorites among h-games.
