I played a little bit of Succubus Quest kind of expecting something janky or with some barren gameplay, but surprisingly it didn't age that badly.
While in terms of combat, if you've played any other BF games, you will probably already have seen most of it before at this point, given that this one was one of the pioneers in the genre, it still feels pretty unique in what it was going for.
Something also worth nothing from my short impression of the game is that for better or worse, it definitely feels like it was made with a "game first, hentai second" mindset. I don't believe there are "proper" h-scenes like one might expect from h-games, and while the combat is based on the idea of giving and receiving pleasure, there isn't really any unique dialogue for different monsters or a more detailed explanation of what's going on beyond "you groped her tits! 30 DMG". On the other hand, it does have a bigger focus on story and gameplay systems even if there are plenty of stock RPG Maker XP assets being used for generic NPCs, maps and some of the BGMs (although admiteddly it doesn't really bother me personally as it makes me feel rather nostalgic from when I used RPG Maker XP myself).
I still wish an actual group would pick it up to translate as our only option for now is an AI translation.
