I remember people saying Paradox now has some inside body level. I wonder if it's becoming a trend. It doesn't even feel fetishistic to me cause when I was young there was that one movie people entered a guy that caused a ton of other parodies and references or people entering a body to remove something like a capsule or bomb. Invader Zim, Ozzy & Drix, Rugrats. Though actually playing through a game, it reminds me most of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (still haven't beaten it though)
I also remember before 4chan died that people were talking how TRTR is a westboo. It really feels like that applies to a lot MG games and their writers. Well, not necessarily the biblical kind of westboo though. I think more of general religion and mythology. Negotiation X Monster seem to delve more in Greek Mythology with some characters (Nyx, Persephone for example) though they do spice out a bit more (Garm, Mizuchi etc.) I think it's due to a more diverse range to make monster girls of. Sure, there is always a far east country with kitsunes and tanukis in some shape or form but it's clear there is a preference to populate the rest of the world with other kinds.

>>15450 >how TRTR is a westboo It's interesting how different it feels when the dev actually focuses on his own country's culture and myths, The Three Charms being the best example
>>15455 Agreed. The entire ambience felt different as well as the monster girls. Not sure if it was the artstyle or the coloring used, likely both since it happens during the night too. But it felt more like some old anime ala Inuyasha. These monster girls felt more like creatures of forest and shadows. And somewhat spectral?

The translator team behind SHRIFT 2 is translating another game https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/work/=/product_id/RJ274236.html first partial at https://mega.nz/folder/IaNByI5A#LgjKRCgbv9y0K0BY9HpMZA
>>15458 The artstyle seems pretty similar to Naglfar's (the artist for Alice I in MGQ and quite a few monster girls in Eden's Ritter Grenze). On the one hand this means lots big boobies and booties. On the other hand Naglfar is basically Xelvy lite when it comes to fetish gathering. So the sex scenes are a guaranteed mixed bag.
>>15450 I remember that AND people talking about neris making the family tree into chaos or something.. incest and questioning if the japanese are similar certainly a way to end it.
>>15462 soon after hitting 1k threads as well.
>>15422 Sequel human farms aren't really a good example of smart monster girls because they are a result of monster and human females being too retarded and not realizing the weak males they were bullying to death were literally the source of all life until it was too late. Now they get to live in a dying world where every sunday there's a new threat to existence that gets stopped by the one human male not under house arrest that the player knows of.
How do I quick reply or randomize filenames here?

Maybe it was inevitable with a cast of characters so big, but I'm still bummed about how some main characters got next to no development or screentime, namely the angel loli sisters, who ended up never being more than half comic relief, half props for Eden's own character growth, and then they become completely sidelined once their adult counterparts join. The trailer for part 3 made it sound like we would witness firsthand their growth and how those two came to be feared by so many monsters. Then there's Erubetie, who already got the least amount of attention in VN, still feeling like a complete blank page while all the other Heavenly Knights get actual character arcs. And to make matters worse, she's literally a clone of Kanade who has the exact same issue, but with the 6 Ancestors.
>>15465 >Quick reply Click on their post number, same as 4chan
>>15449 It reminds me of DMC3's Leviathan stage. >>15450 I don't think making monster girls based off of western mythologies or even D&D really qualifies as westbooism, it's mostly a way to expand the number of possibilities of what you can add. There's only so many youkais in japanese mythology, and those aren't always going to fit in a game if the setting isn't based on Japan. I think a better example of westboo is Japan's obsession with Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
>>15472 depends on how much you go into the relgions and history from the west.
I want my home back.... >>15450 Pretty much any fantasy setting is going to have its base in something European, I don't think it makes sense to cry westaboo just because of that
>>15474 the japanese make fantasy settings based on europe while the west makes fantasy settings based on the east.
>>15455 >>15457 I remember once getting a locally made RPG book when I was a kid based on my country's own culture and folk tales and it was a very refreshing experience. It's something I wish devs did more, there's certainly a lot of design space there.
Myusca is the most likely of the succ prison trio to call you a faggot.
>>15450 >>15472 Even with Alice in Wonderland, I think they made that their own. To me, westabooism is not concept adoption or cherry-picking literature, but a mindset where someone genuinely believes western pop-culture is worth emulating. Inafune and some of the people at Trigger come to mind.
>>15475 Most Western fantasy settings are also based on something Western.... >>15477 With Myusca, you'll love being with a girl for the rest of your life.

>>15455 so what you're saying is, some western dev needs to make a monster girl game about the weird wild west, except the gold rush is the mana rush and there are american themed monster girls like cow girls, coyote girls, occultist witch girls, wendigos, cryptids, etc. honestly would be kind of fucking cool.
>>15487 anime inspired weg that does that'd sound definitely cool rather than americans making games based off medieval europe again and again.
>>15488 >WEG >medieval europe You mean college life with the most horrendous looking people you've ever met
>>15490 my standards were so high that i forgot about the amount of college patreon shill because my brain wanted to forget them.
