I played Guardians of Eden. As previously mentioned, it's really high quality all around. Great art, solid animations, and a decent girl to scene ratio considering all of the art is animated and every line is voiced. The translation has its moments (How the hell did they get "comfortable" out of kimochi?), but it's serviceable. Definitely a must-play for gobbo enjoyers, the goblin is probably the best girl in the game.
The gameplay itself actually gets surprisingly cerebral at times. Even though you're only controlling a handful of "towers", the skill cooldowns are pretty short so you'll be moving back and forth to spam them and enemies have resistances to specific debuffs so you'll sometimes have to consider whether it's worth placing a girl in a key spot just to have to pay to move her later. It's not terribly balanced all the time though. Jahdiel's charm skill is crazy strong and can solo some stages, and the difficulty is kind of all over the place, where some stages are braindead easy and the stage after may require some actual strategy. One of the later stages may actually be impossible without activating the easy mode cheats, I couldn't find a configuration that allowed me to even survive the first wave with more than 1 health. Also, halfway through the game the story introduces an element that could have served to add a new mechanic to the TD segments to shake things up, but instead ends up having no gameplay impact and actually removing a mechanic in the interactive H-scenes, which kind of sours the last half of the game despite the strong start.
Speaking of the interactive scenes, they're also kind of a bummer. At first they consist of simply clicking the same body part over and over again while the same 2-3 voice lines play out, and they do open up a bit later when you unlock more options, but by that point they don't really matter. They're nice as H-scenes though, and one particular insertion had me burst out laughing.
Despite the game's weird glaring issues it's a phenomenal title, it's got a lot going for it and I got a decent amount of enjoyment out of it. I haven't played a Tower Defense game since the Flash ages so it was a nice little throwback. I'll probably buy the DLC when that comes out, especially if it gives the shopkeepers a scene or two. Seriously, how could they not give that sexy tiger even a single animation?
